Karma is a bitch

Karma is a bitch – Poem

When faced with horrors and scares and despair,
it can be hard to choose right from wrong.
Sometimes when fighting doesn’t stop a war,
all we can do is keep moving on.

Cause each and every one of us,
all carry Humanity on our back.
And we all belong to the same flock,
from red to yellow to white to black.

We are all made up by blood and flesh.
Are all creations of bones and skin.
Our race is Human, that’s at our core,
and even with differences, we still are kin.

When fighting others, we fight ourselves,
condemning the image in the mirror seen.
With hearts and souls put on the line,
we cannot hide behind a green machine.

There will come a time when war is over,
an End, when all is done and said.
And we will face our inner critics,
and be laid to rest in our own made bed.

Those who hide in history to aim for future,
they will walk forward being blind.
Those who stumbles and falls most often,
are they who put focus on looking behind.

A time will come for each of us,
when we must answer for our sin.
And some will never be forgiven,
will never be able to be let back in.

So, whilst some of us will leave in peace,
with joyous butterflies that lead the way.
Others are doomed to walk alone,
into an afterlife of dark and grey.

Come what may,
for poor and for rich.
Payment will be due.
Karma is a bitch.
